Ruth E. See, 93, of Evansdale, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was born May 3, 1932, in Tama, daughter of Estel “Bill” and Mary Smith Badger. Ruth graduated from Deep River High School, in Deep River, Iowa. She married Robert E. See on August 10, 1951, in Tama; he preceded her in death on July 17, 1983. She worked for Waterloo Industries and was a mother to her family.

She loved spending her time crocheting and going outside. Ruth also enjoyed diamond painting and adult coloring books.

Ruth is survived by her children, Ruthann, Mary, Diane (Charlie), Bob (Patti), Robin (Dan), and Wanda (Woody), Grandchild; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; two sons-in-law, Mel Nisius and Jerry Back; sister, Joan Shaw; and special friend, Lyle Cunningham

Family-Direct Memorial Services: 1:00 – 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Lofty’s Lounge, 3480 Lafayette Rd, Evansdale. Inurnment to take place at a later date in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the family.
