Kathy Wooten

Kathy Wooten, 61, of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Waterloo, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.

Kathy was born on August 27, 1964, in Forest City, AR, to Elvan and Verdella (Hodges) Wooten. She graduated from Waterloo Central High School in 1982.

Kathy worked for Clarios Battery Manufacturing and was a member of the IUE-CWA Local #86116. She loved bingo, fishing, cooking, and entertaining with friends and family.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Michael Anthony Harper, Jr. and Quincy Deshon Roberison; sisters, Verlinda Wooten, Lee (Del Howard) Wooten, Connie (Hubert) Stewart, and Debra (Thomas) Wooten-Mogaji; brothers, Elvan (Valerie) Wooten, and Stevie (Trae) Wooten; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Wooten.

Visitation and Funeral Service: Family to receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Locke at Tower Park.

Entombment to take place at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 3655 Logan Ave., Waterloo.
