Lyle Troy Evans

Troy Evans, 43, of Fairbank, was killed in a car accident on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Troy was born on March 19, 1981, in Waterloo, the son of Leroy Evans and Pamela Grimstad. Troy attended school in Waterloo and worked as a supervisor at John Deere. He married Carah Rollins on October 15, 2008.

Troy was a very hardworking, brilliant man, who was very caring of others. He could fix anything and loved to tinker. Troy enjoyed spending time on the acreage and with family. In addition to working at Deere, Troy enjoyed the pinball hobby, retro arcade gaming, and attending pinball conventions. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Troy enjoyed fishing and smoking meat on his pellet grill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Evans and niece, Paige Larsen.

Troy is survived by his wife, Carah Evans of Fairbank; sons, Noah (Grace Chrisman) Evans of Dysart and Jack (Korinn Einfelt) Rollins of Waterloo; granddaughter, Freya Evans of Dysart; his mother, Pamela Grimstad of Jesup; siblings, Deanna (Bill) Nibbelink of Cedar Falls, Katy (Sam) Durnan of Jesup, Tim and Kris (Nikki) Larsen, both of Morrison; many nieces and nephews; and his Bulldogs, Beefs and Meatloaf.

Visitation and Funeral Service: Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Locke at Tower Park. Burial to follow at Waterloo Cemetery.
