Reta Mae Clark

Reta Mae Clark, 82, of Waterloo died April 9, 2021 at Rosewood Estate. She was born September 10, 1938 in La Crosse Wisconsin the daughter of William and Estella Zempel.

Reta married Raymond Clark on March 13, 1954 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; he proceeded her in death on December 3, 2018.

She worked in the home, as she loved to care for her three children.

Reta was also a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Waterloo, ensuring her children never missed a day of Sunday School.

Reta loved to bake, especially pies and cookies. She also enjoyed camping and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. Most of all, Reta's favorite thing to do was spend time with her children and grandchildren. She cherished her title as a mother and grandma.

She is survived by: two daughters, Brenda (Ed) Murray of Waterloo, Becky (Doug) Shimp of Washburn; one son, Brian Clark of Marion; five grandchildren, Matthew (Emily) Clark, Craig (Mary) Shimp, Courtney Shimp, Brandon and Nicholas Murray; four great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Chloe Clark and Brody and Brynlee Shimp; Sister In Law, Rosemary Zempel; and her beloved puppy dog, Rocky.

Reta is proceeded in death by: her parents; her husband, Raymond Clark; a brother, William Zempel; and a sister, Marlys Baumgartner.
