Beverly A. "Bev" Huntbach, 86, of Waterloo, died on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at home from complications of a broken heart. Bev was born on September 30, 1934 in La Porte City, daughter of Harold "Burl" and Gladys (Fields) Tibbetts. She graduated from West High School with the class of 1952.
Bev married George Huntbach on December 5, 1954 at Immanuel United Presbyterian Church in Waterloo; he died June 15, 2015.
She had worked at Waterloo Savings Bank and then retired from John Deere Employees Credit Union.
Bev attended Zion Lutheran Church. In her free time, she and George enjoyed traveling and camping in their Airstream Trailer. Bev was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She also liked to bowl with her bowling league, sew, and had an eye for a bargain frequently shopping the local rummage sales. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survived by her son, David (Kim) Huntbach; two daughters, Susan (Steve) Boyd and Patty (Richard) Judas all of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Jamey Fox, Amy (Mike) Fleming, Richard Judas, Jr., Dana (Josh) Judas O'Connell and Dylan Huntbach; six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn & Peyton Fox, Carsyn Hruska, & Brennon, Landon and Adalyn Fleming; three great-great-grandchildren, Liam, Zayn and Kash; sister, Virginia (Harold) Smith of Woodbridge, VA; sister-in-law, Delva Huntbach of Cresco; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son, Steven Huntbach; brother, Melvin Tibbetts; three sisters, Betty (Duane) Torner, Donna (Bill) Hurley and Bonnie Tibbetts; and son-in-law, David McDowell.
