Sharon Johnson, 74, of Evansdale, died on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Harmony of Waterloo.

She was born January 28, 1952, in Waterloo, the daughter of Werner and Hilma (Ohmann) Tiedt.

Sharon married Harvey Johnson on September 13, 1969, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Klinger.

She worked providing in-home care for the elderly and also was a homemaker. Though she was a very private person, she loved her pets and enjoyed going camping. She wanted happiness for others which brought her joy. She was a very forgiving and loving person.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Harvey Johnson Sr., of Evansdale; and two sons, Heath Johnson of Evansdale, and Harvey (Jamie) Johnson Jr. of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Monte Tiedt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Avenue, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Locke at Tower Park, with a 7:00 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star service.
