Preceding her in death were her grandparents and parents. Her parents were Mary and Melvin Sheffler of La Porte City. Her remaining family consists of her brothers Richard Sheffler of Norwalk and Robert Sheffler of Cedar Rapids; two nephews, Matthew Sheffler of Norwalk and Brett Aldrich of Dysart; two nieces, Jennifer Sheffler Lewiston of Norwalk and Alicia Aldrich of Dysart; and a grandnephew, Alec Lewiston of Norwalk.
