Marjorie Ellen Rausch, 93, of La Porte City, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born March 24, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Tom and Anna Kaiser Elliott. She married Burdette H. Rausch on Feb. 7, 1946, in Hudson; he died Jan. 10, 2003.

Survived by: a son, Randy (Becky) of Lisbon; two daughters, Barbara (Leon) Bausch of Rockport, Maine, and Kristi Fraser of Garland, Texas; a granddaughter, Katie (Jason) Wittenbach of Wiley, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Colton Wittenbach.

Preceded in death by: her parents; five brothers, George, Harold, Donald, Tommy and Gene Elliott; and three sisters, Mabel Zobel, Charlotte Elliott and Elizabeth Niemeyer.

Marge would love nothing better than for us to celebrate her leaving this life with a pizza party, upbeat music playing and the sound of laughter all around. Such an event will be planned at a later date.
