James C. “Jim” Lyon, 92, of Waterloo, died May 6, 2014, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital.

He was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Waterloo, son of Clifton and Mabel Robertson Lyon. He married Pauline “Polly” Dryden on Aug. 11, 1953, in Waterloo; she died Jan. 11, 2014.

Jim graduated from Waterloo East High School and served in the U.S. Air Force in China during World War II. He worked in sales at Waterloo Steel & Equipment.

Survived by a sister, Maybeth Dickenson of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Clayton of Waterloo.
