Maritza Zermeño Adame, 24, of Waterloo, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

She was born on May 14, 1996, in California; the daughter of Javier Adame and Bertha Zermeño. 

Maritza graduated from Waterloo East High School in 2014. She had also attended Hawkeye Community College for a period of time. 

She previously worked at Rosewood Estate in Waterloo. 

Maritza is survived by her mother, Bertha (Emilio) Castro; father, Javier Adame; and three brothers, Javier, Cristian, and Angel Adame all of Waterloo.
