Joyce Ford Litteaur, 83, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 25, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of complications of a stroke.

She was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Boston, daughter of Chapin and Julia Ford Linn. She married Richard D. Litteaur on June 29, 1954; he died April 23, 2010.

Joyce graduated from Pasadena High School in California in 1949 and worked for the Pasadena Star News before moving to Waterloo

Survived by: three sons, Mark and Adam, both of Waterloo, and Bruce (Judy) of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Jessica, Raymond and Lucy Litteaur; and a sister, Barbara Kosche of Camarillo, Calif.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and a daughter, Lucy Litteaur.
