Verna F. Spore 79, of Waterloo, died Monday December 23, 2013 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born August 13, 1934 in Waterloo, the daughter of Frank and Laura (Harrington) Lincoln. Verna married Arnold D. Spore on September 13, 1950 in Mason City, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1992.
Verna was member of Hagerman Baptist church where she provided day care for many years.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Frances (Gene Miller) Suender and Patty (Dale Pohlman) Spore, both of Waterloo; 3 sons, Dan (Sherrie) Spore, Randy (Penny) Spore and Arnie Spore Jr. all of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Harrington of California and 2 sisters, Barbara Boyd of California and Emma Peterson of Cedar Falls.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Laura Suender and a sister Rose Harrington.
