Jason A. Reynolds, 42, of Vancouver, Washington, formerly of Dunkerton, Iowa, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 due to a semi-tractor accident near Yamhill, Oregon.

Jason Alan Reynolds was born September 26, 1971, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Craig and Melody Hedeman Reynolds.

He graduated from Jesup High School in 1991. Later he graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a Semi-Transportation Diploma.

Jason was a self-employed OTR truck driver; and had helped the family with farming all through his life. Before driving, he worked in the Kansas wheat harvest and the oil fields of North Dakota. He was interested in horses and had joined the Saddle Club in Vancouver.

Jason had the biggest heart ever and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to joke with people and talk… and talk… on his cell phone! He was a big kid with the biggest smile!

He is survived by his sister Carrie Weidman and nephew Braxten Weidman, both of Waterloo, along with a wide circle of friends and family.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents Leighton and Carol Hedeman; and paternal grandparents D.W. “Bill” and Alice Reynolds.
