Gretchen B. Munger, 90, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, January 13 at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

Gretchen was born October 16, 1918 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of Clarence and Ester Swift Kennedy. She graduated from high school in Mason City.

Gretchen married Ralph C. Munger on October 24, 1939 in Mason City; he died March 1, 1991. She was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church and member of the 1918 Club. She was also a member of the Cedar Falls Order of Eastern Star Chapter 78.

Gretchen is survived by a brother Phillip Kennedy and his wife Sylvia of Stoughton, WI, many nieces, nephews and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Jessie Kennedy, her husband, and a brother Gene Kennedy.
