Richard L. Reese, 63, of Waterloo, died at home, Wednesday, February 18, 2015.

He was born on May 4, 1951 in Waterloo, son of Marvin and Shirley (Saltzman) Reese.

Richard attended Reinbeck School and Hawkeye Community College and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Specialist 4th Class.

Richard worked at John Deere Co. and also at the Waterloo Rec Center.

Richard is survived by: his daughters: Tracy Reese of Waterloo, Janet Smith of Parkersburg, and Nancy Reese of Waterloo; mother Shirley Carroll; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his father.
