Virginia S. Poock, 76 of Waterloo, died at Wellspring Living Health Center of Friendship Village on Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born May 2, 1948 in Waterloo, daughter of Russell and Inez (Steffler) Heichel. She graduated from Waterloo West High School.

She married Roger Poock, they later divorced.

She was the Co-owner of Bandits lounge for several years in Waterloo. She loved to sew, be busy with crafts, bowling. In the early 80's, she did some modeling for the Crossroads and College Square Mall fashion shows. In her free time, she would enjoy a good NASCASR race on TV.

Virginia is survived by her children, Tammy (Eric Johnson) Poock of Waterloo, Pamela Kosmyna of Chicago, IL., and John (Missy) Poock of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Ryne Johnson, Devin Johnson, Peyton Daly, Halli Poock, and Cohen Poock; brother, Robert Heichel of Oregon City, OR and Josephine "Jo" Haverkamp of Oregon City, OR.

She is preceded in death her two brothers, Duane "Guy" Heichel and James "Jimmy" Heichel; two sisters, Joann Wilson and Patricia "Patty" Johnson.
