Naomi M. Bluedorn, 98, of Waterloo, died at her home on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, of natural causes.

She was born November 7, 1908, in Bagley, Iowa, the daughter of Robert N. and Harriet O. Anderson Muir.

She married Carl Bluedorn June 10, 1933. They were later divorced.

She graduated from Bagley High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Home Economics from Iowa State University. Mrs. Bluedorn was a teacher in the Waterloo Community Schools.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, PEO, and the Waterloo Women’s Club.

Mrs. Bluedorn is survived by three daughters: Ann Gawenus and her husband Richard of Horseheads, New York, Ruth Hoover of Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Mary Barham and her husband Ellis of Gladstone, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Alfred Schultz, grandson Steven Schultz and brother Ronald Muir.
