Frances Schroyer, 94, of Waterloo, died at Allen Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 19, 2007 of natural causes.

She was born August 23, 1912 in Reinbeck, daughter of John and Lena Alberts Dirks. Frances married Derwood Schroyer on February 3, 1941 in Waterloo. He died September 11, 1984.

She graduated from Reinbeck High School and worked at Hinson Mfg. for 4 years and then Rath Packing for 25 years, retiring in 1971.

Frances was member of First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo AmVets Auxiliary Post #31, and volunteered with the Allen Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for nine years.

She was an aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sisters: Pearl Schlicht and Ruby Verly and brother Volta Dirks.
