Harry A. Smith, 72, Waterloo, died at his home on Friday, February 15, 2008.

He was born on February 16, 1935, in Marshall County, Iowa, the son of George and Henrietta Fink Smith.

Harry married Mary French on April 4, 1953.

He worked for 30 years at John Deere, retiring in 1988.

Harry is survived by his wife Mary, son H. Bruce and his wife Mary Lee Smith of Center Point, son Daniel and his wife Phyllis Smith of Washburn, daughter Deborah Smith of Waterloo, seven grandchildren: Keith, Heather, Brandy, Travis, Brooke, Nicholas and Laura, and five great grandchildren: Damion, Carlie, Hunter, Kaiden and Alexi. He is also survived by five sisters: Sharon Frost, Alice Lamb, Marie Peer, Linda Nelson, and Judy Pitzenberger.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents and brother Earl Lewis Smith.
