Truman E. Kaiser, 96 of La Porte City, met his Lord on December 21, 2025. He was born on August 24, 1929, in Waterloo, son of Phillip H. and Norma M. (Garling) Kaiser. On March 5, 1944, Truman professed his faith to the Lord at the Zion Lutheran Jubilee Church in La Porte City. He graduated from La Porte City High School in 1948. Upon receiving his notification to enter the service, he proposed to Evelyn May Weidemann. They were married on February 5, 1951, on a Monday night during a snowstorm at the Trinity American Lutheran Church. Evelyn went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2000. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Truman was a farmer and farmed his ground until the age of 94 with his International Harvesters. It was a way of life for him. He was a Charter member of the Ascension Lutheran Church. He was a man of faith, Past Chairman of the Deacons, Deacon and Head Usher. He took his responsibilities to the church very close to his heart.

Later Truman met Beverly J. Roudebush and they were married on April 20, 2002, at the Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo. Bev was received by her Lord on December 29, 2023.

He is survived by his family: Ricky (Ann) Kaiser, Lynette (Rick) Foss, and Teresa (Steve) Hager, all of La Porte City, Denise (Dr. Jeffrey) Ross of Kahoka, Missouri and Carol (Charles) Fridal of Hiawatha; his grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Stumme, Maryjo Kaiser, Nickalas (Jessica) Kaiser and their children Evanora and Gavin; Christopher (Melanie) Hager and their son, Liam with another great- grandbaby arriving in February; Mark Hager, Scott (Tiffany) Ross and their children, Taylor and Hayden; Heather (Ryan) Davis and their children, Kinley and Kyla; Jennifer(Matthew) DeLany, Jonathan (Brittany) Fridal and their children, Kinley, Maelyn and Vera and Kimberly Maye and her son, Lance; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Phyllis Weidemann of La Porte City; and three nephews, Alan (Joy), Dennis (Linda) and Patrick (Eileen) Weidemann.

Truman is preceded in death by Evelyn and Beverly, and Beverly’s son, Michael J. Rueckert.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with visitation an hour before the services.

Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery with Military Rites by the La Porte City American Legion USS San Diego Post #207.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church, or Valley Lutheran High School.
